India has a varied list of hotels and resorts available for accommodation, which for cuisines from all over the world prepared by world-class chefs. Premier hotels in India include Taj, Oberoi, Sheraton, Meridian and Hyatt. The bills may include 10% expenditure tax, 7-15% luxury tax and variable service charges.

There are 5-star deluxe, 5 and 4 star hotels, which have all luxurious facilities and are fully air-conditioned, and 3 star hotels which have air-conditioned hotels, and there are 2 and 1 star hotels which have all the basic things.


Camping, and youth hostels: Camping sites are available through out India. Proper addresses should be obtained for camping sites. The department of tourism has started various hostels with basic amenities, and each hostel has around 40 beds.

Tourist bungalows at some places are made available by the state government tourist development corporation, which has single or double bed rooms with attached bathrooms.
