Day - 1: Arrival Delhi
Arrive Delhi International airport in the morning. Meet on arrival at the airport and transfer to Hotel. In the afternoon after having lunch, we shall visit the wonderful site of Red fort in old Delhi, Raj Ghat memorial site of Mahatma Gandhi. We shall also visit Jama Masjid the biggest mosque of old Delhi and the famous "Humayun's Tomb" which is the first significant example of Mughal structural design in India. Before we proceed to the Hotel we shall drive through New Delhi where we catch glimpses of the India Gate, Indian Parliament and the magnificent Rashtrapati Bhavan (Parliament House). Overnight stay in Hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel. Day - 2: Delhi - Jaipur Jaipur Leave from Delhi towards Jaipur where we shall visit the Amber Fort in the Aravali Hills, which is a great example of Rajput (Medieval Hindu) style architecture. A slow elephant ride takes you to the top of the Fort, which houses several graceful buildings. Afterwards go for sightseeing in Jaipur city and visit City Palace, Jantar Mantar {Observatory}, Hawa Mahal {Palace on wind} Evening we shall drive to ChawkiDhani Village resort for special Rajasthani Dinner and return back to the hotel. Day - 3: Jaipur - Agra After breakfast we shall drive towards Agra on the way you shall visit Fatehpur Sikri - the deserted red sandstone city that was built by Emperor Akbar as his capital. Ponder the mysterious desertion of this capital city that was dramatically abandoned within few years after it was built. It was a veritable fairy tale city and its 'ruins' are still in a pristine condition. It is not difficult to imagine what the court life must have been like in the days of its grandeur. The courtyard of Sul- I -Kul built by Akbar where scholars from different religion and philosophy sat with the Mughal ulema and debated on various issues Later visit the famous tomb of Akbar "Sikandra" and continue journey towards Agra. Agra was the capital of the great Mughal Empire, during 16- 17 century. This period saw the city became a leading centre of art, science, commerce, and culture. References of the origin of this magnificent city are found in Mahabharata, however Sikandar Lodhi founded the modern city of Agra. Later Akbar's grandfather Babur stayed here for some years but the splendid of Agra heritage was built by Akbar. The short golden age of Agra came to an end with the seventeenth century reign of Shahjahan, mastermind of the unforgettable Taj Mahal. Day - 4: Agra - Delhi - Departure Morning visit the famous monument of love the Taj Mahal, Agra city, visit, Agra Fort and Idmad-Ud-Dola {Baby Taj Mahal.} Later check-out from the hotel and drive back to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, transfer to airport / railway station / hotel for onwards journey on your own. End of the Journey with happy memories.
